The best way to bore them and make them disinterested in the conversation Is to start blabbering about yourself mindlessly. Seriously now nobody would be interested to read your autobiography during your first meeting. So keep it about them.

you make it look like talking to a stranger is a damn big thing for you...  You are gonna overwhelm yourself with stress and anxiety. Make it look like it's nothing.  If they talk to you well and good. If they don't then no harm no foul(their loss).

Asking yes/no type questions will suck all the fun out of your conversation. "Do you live in the US?" "Do you like Kanye West?" It's a dead end. Instead ask wh-type questions. What do you like about America? Why do you like Kanye?
