The Ideal State

Plato describes a utopian society divided into three classes:

•Rulers (philosopher-kings),

•Guardians (soldiers to protect the state),

•Producers (farmers, artisans, and merchants).

Each class contributes to the harmony of the state by fulfilling its specific role.
