Wormholes
These are known to be a faster travel through the veil of space. A worm hole is created when a large body of mass warps part of space, and connects to one opposite of it. This creates a hole in the veil connecting to another. Then this wormhole is connected through the space of space between the previously bent and long path of travel. So instead of going around, you can go through.
