Like to eat food? Become a food critic or cook. Like to talk with others? Start a podcast about something you are interested in. And no, you do not need to be an expert in whatever you do. Just enjoy doing whatever you choose. This will calm your spirit in the long run.

Have a completely open and honest line of communication. That is the most important thing. Remember that everyone is human and us as a species makes many mistakes. Forgive and learn from them. Try to understand yourself to a certain degree before trying to find a partner. If you try to do this while you are still learning yourself the changes may turn you to a completely new direction possibly away from your current partner. Those are the harder separations.
