<ul><li>Strategic, financial, operational, conceptual, personal, and emotional: It doesn’t matter the nature of the problem we face—if we can imagine it, we can draw it.</li><li>By drawing it we will see otherwise invisible aspects, and potential solutions will emerge.</li><li>Drawing our problem is always worth a try: Even in the worst case—if no solution becomes visible—we’ll still end up with an infinitely clearer view of our situation. </li></ul>

Solve Any Problem with Pictures

There are three kinds of visual thinkers:<ol><li>The black pen : People who can’t wait to start drawing.</li><li>The highlighters : Those who are happy to add to someone else’s work.</li><li>The red pen : Those who question it all—right up to the moment they pick up the red pen and redraw it all. </li></ol>

Black Pen, Yellow Pen, Red Pen: 

1. Collect everything we can to look at—the more the better.2. Have a place where we can lay out everything and really look at it all, side by side. 3. Always define a basic coordinate system to give us clear orientation and position.4. Find ways to cut ruthlessly from everything our eyes bring in—we need to practice visual triage.

THE FOUR STEPS OF VISUAL THINKING

<ul><li>The garage sale principle: Everything looks different when we can see it all at once. </li><li>Regardless of how well organized all the stuff in our garage may be, laying everything out on tables in the light of day yields a completely new perspective on it all. The same is true for data.</li></ul>

The Garage Sale Principle: How Do We Even Know What We’ve Got? 

1. Who and what ?2. How much ?3. When ? 4. Where ?5. How ?6. Why ? The 6 W’s are used as coordinates for almost every descriptive picture we’re likely to face.

Breakdown Any Complex Problem Into 6 Questions(6W)

The SQVID is just a series of five questions that we walk our initial idea through in order to bring it to visual clarity and to refine its focus.<ul><li>QUESTION 1: SIMPLE OR ELABORATE? </li><li>QUESTION 2: QUALITY OR QUANTITY? </li><li>QUESTION 3: VISION OR EXECUTION?</li><li>QUESTION 4: INDIVIDUAL OR A COMPARISON?</li><li>QUESTION 5: THE WAY THINGS ARE VERSUS THE WAY THEY COULD BE ( D (Delta) is for Change )</li></ul>

THE SQVID 

<ol><li>a PORTRAIT for a “who” or “what” problem;</li><li> a CHART for a “how much” problem;</li><li> a MAP for a “where” problem;</li><li> a TIMELINE for a “when” problem;</li><li>a FLOWCHART for a “how” problem; or</li><li> a MULTIPLE-VARIABLE PLOT for a “why” problem.</li></ol>From just these six, we have the backbone framework for any problem-solving picture.

What We Show And What We See

It has several different blades to help visually solve almost any kind of problem.<ol><li> First are our three basic visual thinking tools: our eyes, our mind’s eye, and our hand-eye coordination.</li><li>Next, Four steps : look, see, imagine, and show.</li><li>Then we have the SQVID, the five questions that help us open our mind’s eye.(👆)</li><li>Last come the six ways we see: who/what, how much, where, when, how, and why.</li></ol>

The Swiss Army Knife Of Problem Solving

<ol><li>First take a pen and a paper (/napkin), draw a circle and label it with me or health or business or whatever.</li><li>Then, ask the 6 questions (6W) in proper order for your problem then draw with imagination 💭 and label it . Once you finish all 6 questions , you get clarity about your problem or maybe solution .</li><li>Then use SQVID questions to your problem, you will get solution or get a crystal clear view of the problem.</li></ol>Go through all the pictures , you will get it.

Actionable Steps

“A picture is worth a thousand words.”The point of a good picture isn’t to eliminate words; it’s to replace as many as possible so that the words we do use are the important ones. So as you work through your picture, make a point of describing—even if it’s only to yourself—what the pieces mean and why you’re drawing them.

The most essential lesson from this is that, if not more so, human leadership abilities will be crucial in the intelligence revolution. People are and always will be a company’s most valuable asset. <ul><li>Which activities energize me and which are the ones that drain me?</li><li>With each thing that you do in a day, imagine a button where you can fast forward to the end of the thing.</li><li>Ask yourself: Do you press the button?</li></ul>

The Fast-Forward Test

Ask yourself 3 questions:<ol><li>Five years from now, what does my life look like? Does it excite you?</li><li>Five years from now, what does my life look like if I were to take a different path? Does it excite you?</li><li>Five years from now, what does my life look like if I didn't have to worry about money or societal expectations?</li></ol>You don't have to commit to one of these paths.The purpose of this is to know what it means to have a life that I love and generate ideas.

The Odyssey Plan

You never know how things will look like unless you try them out. So avoid getting caught in an analysis paralysis and start taking steps.

An Important Reminder

<ul><li>After generating ideas, don't think of being successful with them first. Just think of them as experiments to know if you actually enjoy doing them.</li><li>If the fear of even just getting started is stopping you from experimenting, do the smallest step you can take first.</li><li>Figuratively, throw some spaghetti on the wall and see what sticks.</li></ul>

Experiment

If a method doesn't work, don't quit right away. Just think of another method.<ul><li>For example: if your gym coach isn't good in helping you meet your ideal gym experience, it doesn't mean you don't want to be fit anymore. Just get a different coach.</li></ul>

Iterate

Not knowing what you want in life can get you stuck for a long time.

Finding a goof location to study is one of the most important elements of studying well.Look for a quite place with minimal distractions-someplace where you will be able to focus, and won't be interrupted by loud sounds or people who constantly want your attention.

Everybody is writing about how to start freelancing. But how about stopping? Many freelancers love their lifestyle. But what if you don't?

Everybody wants to freelance?

Realizing that you don't like to freelance (or don't like to any more) can be devastating. It's hard to admit, that the way you chose is not working for yourself. Like with so many things, the first step is to be honest with yourself. Important: Not wanting to do something is not the same as failing! Although, failure could be a reason to quit.

As I said, failure is an option. Not everyone is cut out to be a freelancer. There is no shame in failing at freelancing. Some of the most talented people would not be able to succeed at freelancing.So, if you tried for a couple of years, but you still can't get regular clients or earn a good living, you may want to think about stopping.Freelancing is so much more than being good at providing your service. So there is a lot of room for troubles that have nothing to do with your actual work.

Reason 1: No success in sight

Many freelancers can't imagine going back to a 9 to 5 job. But sometimes, the offer is too good to refuse.Money could be a reason to go back into a job.But, for most freelancers, it would be something more important. Maybe founding a start-up. Or a special company that they admire is looking for new talent.

Reason 2: An offer you can't refuse

Is there such a thing as "too much growth"? For a freelancer: yes!You only have a limited amount of hours per day. That is the nature of being a freelancer.Therefore, if you grow a lot, there comes the moment, where you can't do it alone (or you have to stop growing).So, if you want to keep growing, you have to transform from freelancing into entrepreneurship.
